Travel restrictions to Japan lifted!

Hi Travel Buddies,

Singapore lifted travel restrictions to Japan yesterday!

However, MFA (The Ministry of Foreign Affairs) advised Singaporeans to continue to avoid travelling to coastal prefectures of Fukushima, Miyagi and Iwate, areas that are most affected by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

Do take note to avoid the exclusion zone of 30km around the Fukushima nuclear power plant and a radius of 80km from the plant as advised by MFA.

There are many super travel deals to Japan going on now, so take advantage of these great travel deals now if you are planning trips to unaffected areas in Japan, for example, Hokkaido.  We were considering for a winter holiday there during Chinese New Year next year!  What do you think?  😛
