Hi Travel Buddies,
Finally, we have entered into the month of December. Have you thought of how to celebrate this festive month with your love ones, family and friends before marshalling into the brand new year 2011?
As much as we can, we will try to dedicate the posts in this month related to holiday ideas and travel deals relevant to winter season in the north or summer season in the southern hemisphere. With so many festive promotions and deals going on, December is certainly a good month to start planning for your next holiday from January to March 2011. Even if you are not planning to go anywhere, there are also many great places in Singapore where you can spend your staycation.
Do you know which are the 3 most famous international snow festivals?
1. 27th Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival – starts on Jan 5, 2011 and usually lasts for a month, depending on the weather. Also merged with the Heilongjiang International Skiing Festival. Harbin is famous for its beautiful ice sculptures.
2. 62th Sapporo Snow Festival – Feb 7 to Feb 13, 2011. Hundreds of beautiful snow statues and ice sculptures which line Odori Park, the grounds at Community Dome Tsudome and the main street in Susukino.
3. 57th Quebec Winter Carnival – Jan 28 to Feb 13, 2011. Started since 1864, main attractions include a winter amusement park, ice-sculptures and lots of fun-filled activities like skiing, snow rafting and snow-sled slides.
We hope we have given you a good head start in planning a great vacation this season.
Happy holidays! 🙂
