A day trip to Mt Buller

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Hi Travel Buddies,

Bumper snow fall this season has attracted a high number of visitors flocked to Mt Buller and nearby ski resorts this year.

We finally got our own car and decided to set off a day trip to Mt Buller last week. Mt Buller is the most popular alpine resort in Victoria, stands 1805m above sea level, located 248kms north-east of Melbourne via Mansfield, just 3 hours drive away from Melbourne.

We have moved to Melbourne!

Hi Travel Buddies,

Yes, we have moved to Melbourne.  We were very ‘lucky” to arrive in the coldest week as reported in the last 17 years.  This was not helpful at all when we arrived with just an airbed and a blanket in the 1st week of August.

How is the weather in Melbourne?  You may have heard a lot saying about having 4 seasons in a day in Melbourne.  Just make sure you check out the weather forecast for the day and the week before you plan for any activities ahead.  We find that early morning is usually colder than the day and the night.

Having been here for a month, we are happy that we have survived through the harsh winter and spring has officially arrived yesterday!

We hope we can share more on our travels in Victoria in future.  Stay tune. 🙂

Hi Travel Buddies,

The 28th Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival is going to commence on 5 January 2012, this Thursday.  We are particularly excited this year because we are going to be there very soon, just 2 weeks more after the grand opening!

It is about time that we should finalise our itinerary and budget for our travel expenses now.  If you are also going to Harbin this winter, you are lucky because we are going to share with you what we have researched on the entrance fees, activities and costs.

It took us a while to find out that the highlights of the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival showcases and masterpieces are mainly found in three key places of interests below.  It helps if you remember these places in Chinese when you travel in Harbin. Read More→

Hi Travel Buddies,

Uniqlo Singapore is having the 3rd Anniversary Sale and is into the second week of sale now.  The sales timing is perfect as we can do winter wear shopping to prepare for our Harbin trip next month.  Yes, we are going to Harbin to spend our Chinese New Year holidays from 20 January to 25 January 2012, yeh! 🙂

Hi Travel Buddies,

Remember we mentioned we attended two seminars yesterday?  The second one was not really related to travel but we thought we should write a simple post just to show our little appreciation to the organisers. 🙂

We won a pair of invitation from Perks@Mocca to attend the Colour Dynamics Workshop by Jill Lowe International yesterday evening.

Basically, the workshop is about discovering how colours can make an impact on our appearances and the colours we don will project the image we carry.  So it is important to find out how to make colours work for us.  We were very fortunate to have Jill, the founder of Jill Lowe International to conduct the workshop personally.  Interestingly, colours are divided into the four seasons of nature and each of us will look good in only one to two seasons of colours but not all colours.
