A day in Mornington Peninsula

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Hi Travel Buddies,

We have been to Melbourne a few times but we have never stepped into Mornington Peninsula.  Finally we have the chance to visit last week and we realised there is so much to explore the entire region and one day is certainly not enough.

We started our day at The Peninsula Hot Springs, spent almost 3 hours to revitalize and recharge our bodies.  It was a short drive from the hot springs to Point Nepean National Park.  The park was originally used to quarantine people arriving in Victoria and it was also a military training ground. You can walk all the way to the tip of the Mornington Peninsula, enjoy the Mediterranean like ocean and bay views or do other walking trails in the park if you have the time.

Most of you may have heard about the famous London Bridge at Great Ocean Road.  If you are coming into the Point Nepean National Park, you cannot miss this London Bridge – equally stunning stone formation nicely tucked away at the back beach of Portsea. London Bridge at Mornington Peninsula

Peninsula Hot Springs Review

Hi Travel Buddies,

The Peninsula Hot Springs is probably the best hot springs that we have ever visited.  You can relax and rejuvenate in the regions first natural hot springs and day spa centre in just about 90 minutes drive from Melbourne.Peninsula Hot Springs

en-route to Steavenson Falls

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Hi Travel Buddies,

We planned an en-route to Steavenson Falls on the way back to Melbourne from Mt Buller last week.

This falls is simply spectacular and we highly recommended that you make a detour if you are visiting this area.

If you are driving from Melbourne, it is approximately 100 kilometres northeast and takes you about 1.75 hours.

A day trip to Mt Buller

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Hi Travel Buddies,

Bumper snow fall this season has attracted a high number of visitors flocked to Mt Buller and nearby ski resorts this year.

We finally got our own car and decided to set off a day trip to Mt Buller last week. Mt Buller is the most popular alpine resort in Victoria, stands 1805m above sea level, located 248kms north-east of Melbourne via Mansfield, just 3 hours drive away from Melbourne.

We have moved to Melbourne!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Hi Travel Buddies,

Yes, we have moved to Melbourne.  We were very ‘lucky” to arrive in the coldest week as reported in the last 17 years.  This was not helpful at all when we arrived with just an airbed and a blanket in the 1st week of August.

How is the weather in Melbourne?  You may have heard a lot saying about having 4 seasons in a day in Melbourne.  Just make sure you check out the weather forecast for the day and the week before you plan for any activities ahead.  We find that early morning is usually colder than the day and the night.

Having been here for a month, we are happy that we have survived through the harsh winter and spring has officially arrived yesterday!

We hope we can share more on our travels in Victoria in future.  Stay tune. 🙂
